Rand Whillock conducts demonstrations of robots to inspire student’s interest in Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) for students ranging from preschool to adult graduate students. These demonstrations last from 45 to 90 minutes and use custom built, Lego based robots, solar robots and sumo robots to teach concepts including: parts of a robot, locomotion methods, sensor based control, power sources and programming approaches.
